Get your neighbourhood plugged in

Electrification works best when it’s driven by strong community effort. Get your neighbourhood plugged into cheaper bills, cleaner air, and improved resilience.

Electrify 2515 in Australia is a world-class example of this. While the QEA non-profit focuses on unlocking electrification for all by progressing the above initiatives, success hinges on the community working symbiotically to spread the word and rally support for those initiatives.

Learn about how to get involved in a community group near you, or come to an upcoming event about electrification put on for the community by the Queenstown Electrification Accelerator.

What does the QEA Community Group do?

Supports and champions electrification uptake in Queenstown.

Spreads the word about the QEA and its initiatives.

For example, sharing about our events, discount packages, free online tools and resources, etc.

Shares the perspectives of different communities

This ensures that the initiatives that we develop work for everyone.

Advocates to the council and MPs

for policy changes and other forms of support to accelerate electrification.

Shares knowledge and advice with the community.

As people who are interested in electrification and may have recently made some purchase decisions, your real-world experiences are valuable insights to other locals.

Provides on-the-ground support for the QEA team

This might involve volunteering to help with running events, surveys, sharing contacts, and making introductions to those in your networks who might help drive our mission in your neighbourhoods.

How can you plug in?
