Funding for large-scale business batteries is coming soon
QEA is working in collaboration with Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC) to support the delivery of EECA funding for large-scale business batteries and engage businesses across the Queenstown Lakes District on the opportunity.
The funding is available to businesses across Queenstown Lakes, with eligible battery systems required to be 125 kW or larger. Because of the minimum system size, the opportunity is likely to be most suitable for medium to large energy users.

Eligible projects can recieve funding towards:
Up to 75% of feasibility study costs
Up to 40% of detailed design and capital costs
QEA can work with your business to understand whether battery storage could be a suitable and eligible opportunity for your site.
We can also carry out an initial high-level assessment of your energy use and the potential economics of investing in a large-scale battery, helping you understand whether it is worth exploring further.
